There is no proof supporting the theory that consciousness lives inside the brain.
There is, on the other hand, plenty of evidence that consciousness exists outside the brain. The mind does not behave as though it is confined to the brain, and there are many experiences of nonlocal consciousness that cannot be explained by a local mind trapped inside the confines of the human skull.
Human consciousness is not confined to the brain, since consciousness is nonlocal and thus lacks a material basis, and since the brain has a facilitating function that enables a person to experience consciousness.
Telepathy is a fact and the human consciousness can exist beyond the body.
The mind is a device for receiving communication from two voices, the ego and Higher Self It activates the decisions made and assumes full consciousness of the life and path chosen. The mind is not in the body, its awareness is only in the body. It is outside of time and space and supplies creative energy- infinite intelligence for the imagined world. It is plausible to conclude; therefore, that within the mind, where creative energy lives, the universe is a creation of the mind’s imagination fed by thoughts. All are simply energy.

The Mind (particularly the unconscious) probably actually exists beyond our computer-like brain organ. It is linked with Universal Intelligence of all things. Brain is a conduit, but Mind has no limitations or boundaries. Our brainstorms and breakthroughs are actually vibrations from the Universal Mind. Although neurons in our brains help form the awareness of a thought, actual thought itself does not originate in the brain at all. The brain is like the TV receiver in your home, not the TV station. Thought is a result of the Mind, and the perception of a thought comes through the brain.
The brain is the receiver of Mind, not its creator It connects our physical body to infinite consciousness. We filter out much of the Mind Field, but we can learn to access it more.

Nonlocal consciousness
Human possibility exists outside, above and beyond the conscious and subconscious mind. Possibility is everything an individual is capable of doing, experiencing, and embracing. Human possibility knows no bounds and is inescapable. It always exists. All spectrums of human behavior exist inside and alongside possibility. Possibility is the space between thoughts. It is the silence between sound.
