The word maya means illusion. Maya, the power of illusions, creates the ignorance of the individual self that thinks it is separated from the rest of life. The unity of life fragments into self-centered thinking by the layering of illusions.

Every living being is under the governance of Maya (Illusion). In emotional attachment to Maya the whole world is asleep. It forgets its true spiritual nature and is asleep to it, but is awake to material consciousness. It is from this Maya, the enticer, has captivated the whole world. In ignorance he fails to realize the purpose of life and remains perpetually in bondage. Where, as ego separates the soul from God, maya prolongs the separation by projecting the real as false and false as real, deluding, thus, it keeps the soul in its grip. It allures and captivates the individual. It allures and captivates the individual. Only the egocentric gets into its web.

The souls are entangled in matter and release is made possible when the difference between the nature of the soul and matter is recognized. The human soul is released through recognizing that the world as caused is an illusion.

All false beliefs are as much creations of Maya as false values; and false beliefs as well as false values are among the “tricks” which Maya uses in order to hold the soul in ignorance. Intellect plays into the hands of Maya.

Maya plays a vital role in our very existence. Transcending maya is a difficult task. The realisation of the Self is possible only if the veil of maya is abstracted. There is nothing more potent than cit or the pure form of consciousness.

The word maya means “illusions”, with reference to the external world (and the outer and external world could be the ego or collective mass consciusness). They skillfully entrap mankind into identifying with the mass consciousness and the veil of maya that enshrouds the planet
‘The Sanskrit word maya means ‘the measurer’.
Maya signifying ‘to mask”, in disguise
Maya meant deceit, fraud, trickery, magic
The word maya signifies a “veiling,” a “cloaking,” a “concealment.”
The word maya meaning “to sleep” and “to dream” (and the Matrix humankind is living in is a computer created “dreamworld”)
The meaning of maya is that creates two worlds out of one (the artificial matrix and “dreamworld”)
When maya creates two worlds out of one it also represents the concept of duality or concept of opposites

Maya is the idea of superimposing on reality our own biases, notions, and ego-centered convictions. Maya is the human tendency to perceive reality in warped fashion. As such, maya is often translated as illusion

If we don’t look beyond the veil of maya, we are lost in a dream-world

Mind might be the matrix in which some original Illusion or Ignorance, Maya or Avidya, cast the seed of a false impermanent universe. This is when our True Nature went dormant, disguised as personality in a world of maya. The veil of Maya is so thick, and the ego so strong, that only shocking experiences can free them from the illusions and delusions they are hugging to themselves.

Our individualized personality is a product of this Maya that veils the Truth and at the same time creates this whole phenomenon out of it. Where, as ego separates the soul from God, maya prolongs the separation by projecting the real as false and false as real.

The human soul is entangled in ignorance and mind and the human soul is entangled in slavery (the matrix).

Maya and concealment

Ancients texts compares ignorance to a knot which a man has to untie before he gets possession of self in the recess of his own heart.

The decisions taken by the intellect are the knots of ignorance and bound by these knots of ignorance, knots of bondage or knots of limitations.

To break the knot of ignorance, no longer to make the ego the centre and beneficiary of our works, but to derive all from and refer all to the divine.

Man’s Fall is into dualism, and thus “Suddenly a thought arises; this is called ignorance;” is here seen as “Suddenly dualistic knowledge arises; this is called the Fall.” The modern day students of man’s Fall are, by and large, the psychologists and psychiatrists, and although the language they utilize is much more sophisticated, the story they tell is in all essential respects another variation of the generation of dualisms.

You see that you have fallen from heaven to earth, three knots have been put so that you cannot go back. Then five covers of ignorance have been put so that you cannot cross, because you see this whole external visible perishable reality as real, you develop a lot of desires in this visible universe. This is all Maya: the human body is Maya, a tree is Maya.

When your soul is concealed by the effect of maya, your mind takes over in the form of ego and intellect. Our individualized personality is a product of this Maya that veils the Truth and at the same time creates this whole phenomenon out of it. Where, as ego separates the soul from God, maya prolongs the separation by projecting the real as false and false as real. This Maya is the principle that leads to the belief of existence where no such existence exists.

Maya psychology using many links of fear and doubts to captivate the soul in the prison of the mind (the matrix). The Archons is said to prevent the soul from ascending upwards. All false beliefs are as much creations of Maya as false values; and false beliefs as well as false values are among the “tricks” which Maya uses in order to hold the soul in ignorance. Intellect plays into the hands of Maya.

It is difficult to surmount Maya, because, when the intellect is under the sway of Maya, it creates and upholds false beliefs and illusions; it creates barriers to the realisation of Truth by persistent attempts to sustain and justify erroneous beliefs. The human soul is entangled in ignorance and mind and the human soul is entangled in slavery (the matrix). When this maya is cut through, the soul is liberated through the realization of its true nature.

At that time, the initial knowledge of soma was corrupted by maya, mental illusions created by our egos and minds; why, sooner after that, mankind lost sight with the true identity of soma rasa only regaining again after millennia

To overcome the illusions of life, we must, therefore, concentrate our attention on the “beginningless and endless Whole

The power of concealment, as it is by nature set up by Ignorance.

The practice of concealment itself straddles a number of boundaries.

Maya and duality

Through the process of maya, of dualistic thought, we introduce illusory dualities or divisions, “creating two worlds from one.”

In reality, there is Mind-only, “all-inclusive,” non-dual, the timeless ground of all temporal phenomena, “fusion without con-fusion,” a Reality “without duality but not without relations.” At this “stage,” we are identified with this All, we are one with the basic Energy of the universe. This is what we have elsewhere termed the first level of consciousness, the Level of Mind. But through the process of maya, of dualistic thought, we introduce illusory dualities or divisions, “creating two worlds from one.”

These divisions are not real, but only seeming, yet man behaves in every way as if they were real; and being thus duped, man clings to his first and primordial dualism, that of subject vs. object, self vs. not-self, or simply organism vs. environment. At this point, man shifts from a cosmic identity with the All to a personal identity with his organism, and we thus generate the second major level of consciousness, the Existential Level: man identified with his or-ganism. Like an ascending spiral, man’s fragmentation through duality continues, so that most individuals don’t even feel identified with all of their organism—we say not “I am a body” but rather “I have a body,” and this “I” that “has” a body we call our self, our ego. At this point, man’s identity shifts from his organism as a whole to his ego, and we have generated the third major level of consciousness, the Ego Level.

Continuing this dualistic spiral, man can even attempt to disown facets of his ego that he finds undesirable, refusing to admit into his consciousness the unwanted aspects of himself. Again man’s identity shifts, this time to some facets of his ego, generating the next level of the spectrum, a level we call the Shadow. Here, then, we have the evolution of the spectrum of conscious-ness.

Metaphorically, each level of the spectrum represents the seeming identification of Absolute Subjectivity with one set of objects as against all others, and with each new level of the spectrum, this identification becomes more narrowed and exclusive. Of course, the spectrum itself contains a vast number of bands and levels, but we have singled out a half-dozen major ones since they are easily recognizable, as will presently become evident. We must turn now to a more detailed explanation of the generation of these various levels of consciousness as well as a careful but preliminary description of each.

Maya is superimposed on reality. The nataure of maya itself – namely, the magic or art whereby we create two worlds from one, dualistic process that is very much a creation but an illusory creation, not real but “pretend”, a make-believe manifestation of the Absolute appearing as all phenomena. Maya is the Godhead’s creative power of emptying or reflecting itself into all things and thus creating all things, the power of Absolute Subjectivity to take on objective appearance. In reality the Godhead remains Void, but appears or takes form only as objects; and this power of phenomenal appearance-creation is maya.

The “world of maya” is also the “world of matter”, for material things, as we have seen, are nothing but a product of our mental measuring and dividing. Because all measurement is merely abstraction and, as such, an omission of part of the truth, the world of measure and matter, if mistaken for ultimate realities, is indeed a world of illusion. The point, then, is not to confuse the world as it is with the world as it is measured into space, time, objects, classes, delinea-tions, boundaries, limits, particulars, universals, individuals, generals, or categories of any type or kind—for the simple reason that all measurement is a product of thought, not reality; just as, for example, wood is not actually composed of inches but is only conventionally and mentally measured or divided into very arbitrary units called “inches.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (Genesis 1:1-2)

Now this is not the description of a historical fact, for “In the beginning” means eternal and beyond time, not an event in time. Thus we shall have to look a little deeper for its meaning, and to do so, we need only call upon the universal language of mythology. Recall, from Hindu mythology, that “before” the Dismemberment, God is a “syzygy of conjoint principles.” Let us now continue the story from there:

The conjoint principles; for example, Heaven and Earth, or Sun and Moon, man and woman, were originally one. Onto-logically, the conjugation is a vital operation, productive of a third in the image of the first and nature of the second.”

This is equally true in Christian mythology, for in theological accounts, all creation is from the conjugation of the masculine Spirit and the feminine water,’s as in the following:

In the beginning the Spirit conceived, the waters gave birth, and the world which was born from their conjugation was the first material image of the Word, of God the Son, the Logos who was the ideal pattern after which the creation was molded.”

Now Logos is simply word-and-thought,n that primordial power of dualism, the Supreme Divider, and so did Logos “divide the light from the darkness” (Genesis 1:4) and “divide the waters from the waters” (Genesis 1:6) and “divide the day from the night” (Genesis 1:14); so also in Proverbs (8:27) do we find that “when he prepared the heavens, I was there; when he set a compass upon the face of the deep.” The compass points out the measuring and dividing, the dis-membering, whereby the Godhead “indivisibly divides” himself into all creation. And this measurement is precisely maya, which, being etymologically similar to the words measure, meter, matrix, matter, and mother, explains the creation of the world out of Prima Materia and Virgin Matter as well as the Christ-birth from the Virgin Mother matter, mother, mays—the creation by measurement and distinctions performed by Logos the Supreme Divider.

In the microcosm of the first Adam, the story is repeated, for when Adam is set to sleep, he becomes divided into male and female, where previously he was hermaphroditic.

The meaning is strictly mythological: In mythology male and female … signify duality rather than sexuality, and the Fall is the subordination of the human mind to the dualistic predicament in thinking and feeling—to the insoluble conflict between good and evil, pleasure and pain, life and death?:

The division of Adam into male and female made possible the Fall, which specifically occurred when Humanity, compounded in the first couple, ate from the tree of knowledge, a knowledge that was of good and evil: and there is no mistaking that knowledge—it is dualistic.

Maya through its mass productivity creates fragmentation. In the state of fragmentation, only fragmented knowledge appears before man’s consciousness. This fragmentation of the psyche is the result of the three- pronged conditioning of the soul.

Man’s real consciousness has no fixed boundary. Man´s mind is not limited by his physical body, although he usually thinks it is. But it is the intellect and the ego that bind him there. The three dimensional is the world which is controlled through fixed “limitations” of boundaries (time, space, duality, beta brain waves, ego, mass consciousness), and when this world creates two worlds from one; this is the artificial world or the virtual reality, and this artificial or virtial world is the Matrix, and the Matrix reality is the computer created “dreamworld” in the Matrix.

The limitation-based, dual mind in action. Man’s problem is that of dual vision … recognizing another reality other than the Absolute, besides which there is no other. What we recognize, we materialize. Separation only exists as the illusion platform within the dual mind of form-consciousness. Separation is the ruling principle in the plane of duality . . . that which keeps the pendulum swinging. The apex frequencies can be instructional to the masses, resident in the realm of polar opposites .. . base-consciousness (mass consciousness). At the bottom of the pyramid is where the masses reside in consciousness. This is usually represented on the pyramid as the two extremes of the pole which must be reconciled before our desired estate can come forth. How we perceive, interpret, observe and recognize energy, determines whether or not we reconcile our discordancies.

Maya and mass society and mass consciousness

Maya through its mass productivity creates fragmentation. In the state of fragmentation, only fragmented knowledge appears before man’s consciousness. This fragmentation of the psyche is the result of the three- pronged conditioning of the soul.

Mass society reflects industrial mass production in which people consume the same industrialized products and culture.

Mass society, mass media, mass production, mass distribution, mass consumption, mass-produced and mass-consumed, mass entertainment, mass communication, mass education, mass consciousness, mass psychology, mass hysteria, mass illusion and finally all these parts is the Matrix.

Maya and fear

Maya psychology using many links of fear and doubts to captivate the soul in the prison of the mind (the matrix). The Archons is said to prevent the soul from ascending upwards.

Fear is the frequency that keeps humankind trapped in the “dreamworld” and fear is what´s control the life in the Matrix.

Mass consciousness is govern by knot of ignorance, and ignorance is a form wakening slumbering state, and this is make the human made easy for receive subliminal programming. The sheep mentality represents this slumbering state of consciuousness and is full of illusions.

The shadow is the “darkness” of the illusions of fear and ignorance, which seem more powerful than our spiritual.

Which brain wave is related to fear, which brain wave controls the daily human life, and which frequency represents duality: beta brain waves. And all Yoga teaching how to change brain waves from beta to alpha, from alpha to theta, from theta to delta and so on. The aim of philosophy and spiritual practice such as meditation is the removal of the illusory veil (maya).

There are two types of people within the collective Shadow frequency —those who duck their heads and give in to their fears (repressive), and those who project their fears externally onto others (reactive). The repressive nature of the Shadow forms the collective blandness of the mass consciousness. These are the sheep whose fears are buried beneath the surface by whatever the system tells them. The majority of people on our planet fall into this category. This consciousness is too afraid to look into the fear within its body, so it settles into the fixed patterns given to it by society. Of course, life arranges events in all people’s lives that force them to face their fears. However, unless such events precipitate a major awakening, the repressive nature tends to bury its head even deeper in the sand once such periods pass.

Both subconscious and conscious ‘five-sense’ mind were subject to the manipulation of this now self-aware ‘entity’ that the Matrix had become. The reason why the Matrix projection needs the energy of fear to empower itself is because it is fear, self-aware fear. These fears keep us locked in the matrix, the morphogenetic grids of our awareness, of our active consciousness. It is also our collective consciousness that induces fears into others.

Fear has numerous faces and has been engrained into our systems in countless ways. Fear is reflected in our beliefs, emotions, and the collective consciousness grids. It is locked in our energy bodies, organs, and cells, and it is an inherent part of our minds. This means that stepping out of fear is a process that requires time, diligence, perseverance, willingness, and a clear intent to never give up, even though the process might at times be incredibly frustrating. We will never step into a new consciousness if we are not willing to undertake this path.

The process of stepping out of fear has three major steps; connecting with your heart (divine essence), connecting with the frontal lobes of your brain, and stimulation of the frontal part of your amygdala.

The unconscious contains thoughts, memories, and desires that are well below the surface of conscious awareness.

Morpheus, whose name is taken from the Greek god of dreams, reveals to Neo that the Matrix is “a computer-generated dream-world” , the product of an elaborate computer program.

The solution is that Neo needs to wake up from the dream, just as Gnostics learn that sensory perception in the material realm is not reality.

A neural simulated dream world, the Matrix is a complex engineered reality designed to keep humanity under control. Our engineered world is a psychological construct created by humanity.

We are caught in humanity’s collective fixation with Maya and the material consciousness such mass hypnosis induces.

When you are incarnated in the material realm your perception is focused on this world of matter, material subjects and situations. The main quality of the material realm is limitation. Everything is defined and limited. And so your perception is limited and your state of mind, your consciousness is limited, limited to the material world. You cannot look behind the veils of the material world, behind the veils of Maya. So you are not able to perceive the astral and the mental planes. From these limitations the illusion is born that we are limited beings without higher interdependences, with-out a higher unity. Due to the spiritual training you break through these veils of Maya and you experience the higher unity and the higher worlds beyond the material plane. You get to know the truth. High developed spiritual people experience the so called heaven on earth. This means they live in a state of consciousness which corresponds with the special state after the physical death. Normal people are not able to experience this or to comprehend it during their incarnation in the material realms.

So the consciousness with perception and understanding are nor-mally quite limited during the stay in the material world as everything is limited here. The experience of limitations leads to the idea of having to fight or to work hard to satisfy needs and wishes. This can lead to egoism and to a lot of bad characteristics like stinginess, aggressions, and so on.

On the other side love and giving are quite rare as they are opposites of the experience of limitations and aspects of the divine-natural cornucopia which is a quality of the higher realms. Due to these circumstances on earth people tend to behave in a bad way which causes a lot of suffering. Down here on earth this might appear as necessary for survival or as okay and some think that it is good. But when you leave this world your consciousness changes and you know that these things are not good.

What happens? Imagine your time has come and you leave your physical body. With this process your awareness is switched from the material plane up to the astral plane where you dwell as a soul until it is time for the next incarnation.

First of all by leaving your physical body behind you leave also the complete physical world behind yourself with all the limitations, with all the typical material problems, with all the density, the chains of matter and all the heavy burdens which made you suffer. Indeed you lose this heavy weight and you really feel a deep relief.

Second, the astral plane is so much easier, finer than the material plane. There are no limita-tions which make you suffer. In fact you feel nourished, charged with everything you need. It is an energetic saturation which you experience. It is satisfaction, healing and you know that there is God, that there are spiritual beings, spiritual guides and teachers which care about you, which help you to make progress in your spiritual development, in the refinement of your soul, your personality. The material veil have vanished and you experience truth.

If we work under the premise that humanity is under the spell of the Matrix or Maya as the ancient Vedic texts and Upanishads describe it, using common sense we can understand that while living under this veil of illusions, the truth is not absolute and the influence of Maya is working thru all unenlightened minds. So, many that may think are realizing truth are just receiving the information from the Matrix itself. The whole purpose of the Matrix is to pass lies as truths, using the ego that appeals to all that exalts it to accept these false philosophies. How to awake from this field of illusions? By reaching to Him who is beyond the Veil, who is the true God and is waiting to awaken us all.

The aim of philosophy and spiritual practice such as meditation is the removal of the illusory veil (maya)

The five senses influence the mind. The mind influences Illusion (Maya), Illusion (Maya) causes spiritual inertia and hypnotic torpor which influences the alluring projections of illusion (Maya)

Our lower self is expressed through the mind as body-consciousness governed by ego, whereas our higher self finds expression when we are governed by spiritual knowledge. The lower self creates an illusion, or Maya, when it separates from divinity.

Supermind is the grade of existence beyond the mind
Concealment in five parts; as concealment, as a source of delusions, as a distortion of visions, as a axiological concept; and as ignorance.

Maya functions in the world through its two powers: the power of concealment and the power of projection.

Maya not only conceals reality, but also distorts it.

Maya conceals Reality and separates it into opposites (into duality), such as conscious and unconscious, pleasant and unpleasant,” and so on

Man’s ego itself is Maya. It is the veil that shuts out the Light. The entire mass of objective manifestations, separated from light of consciousness, is Maya.

This entity or Maya through its mass productivity creates fragmentation. In the state of fragmentation, only fragmented knowledge appears before the consciousness. This fragmentation of the psyche is the result of the three-pronged of the soul.

The Ego is the Veil. Then the ego is the veil, the collective mass consciousness is the veil and the veil is the matrix.

The man who recognizes this ego to be a sham has become a Buddha, i. e., a knower—one who knows

Maya is the veil, the illusion of a dualistic universe in which we appear to exist as separate beings in a matrix of time and space.

Meditation and contemplation has the power to liberate man from the clutches of ‘Maya’ (Illusion)

Its false association with the body through ignorance is the cause of its bondage. Therefore, liberation is to be attained only through knowledge of the self

Divine is like the Sun, and Maya, or the illusionary material energy is just like darkness.

As soon as the consciousness is purified, the false ego disappears.

When people get out of the clutches of maya and realise their true nature, they have reached home i.e. God, which is also called mukti (liberation)

And salvation would be ‘mukti’ (liberation) of the atman (self) from the clutches of matter and the coils of history.

If one gets entangled in the net of God, one gets out of the net of Maya. To get out of the clutches of Maya, people seek God, – people come here. The earlier one begins to associate with God, the sooner one gets liberated from the clutches of Maya — from the bondage.

But, if this Spiritual Wisdom of man shines in Resplendence, removes the darkness of Illusion (Maya), chases the mind away, controls the influences of the five elements in the physical body, burns the five senses, repulses the attractions of the earth, opens the Gnostic Eye and cuts off the influences of the physical eyes, enables man to know his Self and know beforehand what is in store, sees what is in front and merges in That One which has neither end nor destruction. It will be the summum bonum of Human Existence and the Glory of The Ultimate Unique One (Paraparam). That Glory is Fullness. That Fullness is God. God is Man-God (Manu Eesan). That `Manu Eesan’ is God. You should understand this well. You should know the nature of the Petals of the Lotus of the Human brain.

For those who wish to be liberated from the clutches of worldliness, the way is to concentrate their minds on God.

The liberation of purusa from the clutches of prakrti or the separation of the spirit from the matter does not involve any change taking place in the nature of purusa, the individual soul, or imply the aquisition of any new property that was not there in it. It simply means the release of soul from the influence of ever-evolving prakrti, after which it rests in itself, stable and serene. It implies only the recognition of soul as a reality that is beyond the space, time, and causality, above body and mind, and therefore essentially free, eternal, and pure.

The individual soul retires as it were from active life in the world, to rest in its pure Being and Consciousness . The prakrti ceases to act and evolve the world to the liberated soul, so that the liberated soul does not see the prakrti in its ever-functioning and ever-evolving form.

The process of its creative activity ceases as it were for him. The Advaita Vedanta does not state that the individual soul can achieve liberation by mere separation of self from matter, and its purification. On the other hand, it believes that the liberation of the individual soul can be achieved only by intellectual intuition of the identity of individual soul with the universal brahman, the impersonal absorption of the individual soul in the universal Self.

The absorption of the individual soul in the universal Self again implies and involves the intuitive experience or knowledge of the real nature of Self as pure being, consciousness and delight (ananda), which is also the nature of the Supreme Reality.

Pranamaya (physiological), Manomaya (Emotional), Vijnanamaya (Cognitive) and Ananda- maya (the unconscious).

The fragmentation of duality is distortion created by Maya. The world and mind are not two entities.

In reality it grows from Maya, is created by the mind and is the offspring of the delusion of the mind.

Maya and the five senses

The five senses influence the mind. The mind influences Illusion (Maya), Illusion (Maya) causes spiritual inertia and hypnotic torpor which influences the alluring projections of illusion (Maya).

Man need control his five senses and mind to reach the stage of true yogin. The five senses lead man deeper into the clutches of Maya and illusion. Man must control them to lift himself up above this plane of Maya. Senses are to be controlled and subdued through living the life of balance and equilibrium. Thus can rise above “pairs of opposites”.

The veiling of the self means veiling the shining unchangeable self-perception of the self, as infinite, eternal and limitless, pure consciousness, which as an effect of such veiling appears as limited, bound to sense-cognitions and sense-enjoyments and functioning as individual selves’.

Maya and reality

Maya is the limited, purely physical and mental reality in which our everyday consciousness has become entangled. This every day consciousness is the “mass consciusness”, or in other terms the “dreamworld” in the matrix. The concept of maya is to create two worlds of one, and it then controls the real world through the matrix,, the dreamworld, the virtual reality. Maya means duality and duality is created when maya creates two worlds from one. It creates the tree of duality out of tree of life, and the tree of duality then becomes reality.

Mind and time are the twin appearances of Maya. When the mind is transcended or suppressed, time disappears. Maya has two powers, the veiling power and the projecting power. It conceals reality and projects multiplicity. Maya creates two worlds of one (the matrix, computer created “dreamworld”, artificial reality).

In its negative aspect it conceals Reality and acts as a screen to hide it. In its positive aspect it projects the world of plurality.

Manyness, multiplicity, or plurality divides reality into opposites and to parts to cover wholeness; “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Maya represents the parts that covers wholeness. Therefore, we know only through the mind and the mind knows only in fragments. Mind in Man is Ignorant due to the divided nature and through the creation of duality and opposites. We are trapped behind a series of veils that “distort” reality into fragments. Maya distort the one consciousness into the appearance of many. The veil of maya acts like a distorting lens through which we look out at life, projecting the inner stream of fantasy onto the outer world. Maya refers to distorted perceptions of reality and experience that can be identified as such only with direct attention to our own processes of awareness that come about through internal concentration or meditation.

Maya and three dimensional world

According to Hindu scriptures is that we are living in a shadow world of sweet ideas and tuned to it on such an octave that it is hard to deny what is tacitly untenable. And since the world is seen by an observer to be three dimensional, it is proof enough that the world is a shadow of the human mind which itself is a shadow of some still higher dimensional reality. There is thus a loss of … And maya becomes an inseparable factor of physical reality.

Maya is the veil of duality

The veil of maya is the sense of duality in man which makes him regard himself as separate from God.

That illusory dualistic veil is maya.

Since the infinite, real nature of the soul is covered, man identifies himself with his ego, mind, body and senses, and becomes entangled.

The Mirror of Self-reflection is the ego itself. The Three Paths show how the ego is formed, how it is challenged and its limitations revealed, and how it is healed and brought into relationship with spirit. The Three Paths constitute our physical birth, our psychological birth and our spiritual birth. Creating the Mirror of Self-reflection (the Sorcerer to the Warrior) is about the development of the ego. Cracking the Mirror of Self-reflection (the Cactus to the Temperate Man) is about the destruction of the ego. See-ing Through the Mirror of Self-reflection (the Bound Man to the Planet Earth) is about the transcendence of the ego. The task of the first Path is to become a useful human being and experi-ence our belonging in society. In the second Path, we consciously exile our-selves from the collective to experience our uniqueness and separateness and Crack the Mirror of Self-reflection. In the third Path, the ego is no lon-ger mesmerised by its reflections in the mirror held up by itself or the world, and it Sees Through the Mirror of Self-reflection.

In the end, when we conquer the ego, when the secret veils of maya lift and when the soul dissolves in the one true reality we find that God has hidden Himself as joy and peace in the human body-temple itself.

When this veil is lifted the whole universe is experienced as sat, pure existence, or as an ocean of power.
